I know, it's been a loooong time since I've posted anything. Life just gets in the way, what can I say?
I am getting ready to leave tomorrow for a conference trip to New Orleans. The Louisiana Department of Insurance hosts a conference for insurers every year. This is the fifth one they have done, but the first one I've been invited to. I am mainly going to see what it is about and if it will be worth going to again. The company is trying to cut down on travel expenses, so this may be the only chance I get to go. I bought a new digital camera, a Kodak EasyShare C813. I am going in early enough on Wednesday that I will be able to check in, get some dinner early and take a walking "ghost tour" through the town. The starting point is only about 4 blocks from my hotel. I will be staying at the Hotel Monteleone in the French Quarter, about 5 blocks from the Mississippi River. The weather promises to be in the 80's, which is perfect for me. Of course, there is the humidity factor, but we will see. I will post pictures when I get back.
I will be missing the 24th of July celebration here in Utah - the date Brigham Young first saw the Salt Lake Valley and declared "This is the place". Oh well, I get paid overtime for the full day, so in that respect it will be worth it.
I'll update again when I get back!
